i like it here :) at least for now, everything is good. even though i don't have much idea what's going on in lectures.
i'm suppose to learn abt arthropods,helminths, protozoa, fungi, bacteria and viruses. first assignment was handed out last week, i'm suppose to choose from a parasite from a list and write abt how is it of relevance to australia and australians.

just to name a few, choices include:
plasmodium falciparum,kinetoplastids,babesia,coccidians of poultry, trichomonas,leishmania... etc.

i'm writing on human hookworms, because it's almost the only one in english.

doing parasitology, ecology of disease and microbes and human health, a/prof peter is teaching all 3- for now, so i get very confused what lecture i'm attending.

i went to the meet-the-buddy dinner. i didn't have a buddy coz the lady incharge lost my details. it was quite awkward at first, sandra and i were sitting between 2 groups of aussies in their midst of some conversation, both groups had their backs on us. so we were sitting there, staring at each other and eating pizza- which was very nice!! we got to talk to them eventually, it was nice until david couldn't stop talking abt kangaroo island.

we'll meet up and play volleyball one of the days:)

3 knives to chop corns. i have NOTHING to say abt this, but just to make myself feel better, it's someone else's mess i'm clearing. she gave up after after smashing one side of the corn, i managed to chop with 2 knives.
